Island Records - Keane

For Paul, this like many of his commissions is more pleasure than work…In his radio days he got to work with a number of amazing bands and music acts. From sessions to live concerts and events there were some amazing moments, with the opportunity to see top acts up close.

One of his favourite bands over the last 10 years has been Keane.  Paul first saw them play a preview gig in a pub in Glasgow, just ahead of their first release Somewhere Only We Know in 2004. Since then he has seen them play many times including at T in the Park, The Barrowlands in Glasgow and the Nou Camp in Barcelona.

Therefore Paul jumped at the opportunity of photographing them at a concert for competition winners when invited to do so by their record company Island Records. The location was National Trust for Scotland property Holmwood House, built in the mid 19th century by Alexander ‘Greek’ Thomson a famous Victorian Architect from Glasgow.

Photography time was precious so Paul had to move quickly to pose and position the band for these photographs.

Here is a video for their classic song Everybody's Changing.
