Here's another travel blog. Some of these travels were taken for work projects, some for pleasure, or best of all both. Cape Town though was just pure pleasure, no work, just stunning views to photograph. Other benefits include a lack of jet lag, with a very small time difference, and some amazing seafood on offer. Here are some of my photographs taken in and around Cape Town. Hope you like them.
The birthplace of surfing in South Africa. I love these very colourful beach huts on the beach in Muizenberg.
Penguins on Boulders Beach
Boulders Beach is located in the Cape Peninsula, near Simon's Town towards Cape Point, where bizarrely in the summer sunshine you can watch the penguins on the beach!
Table Mountain, Cape Town
The dominant backdrop of Cape Town is of course Table Mountain. It is famous for the fog that often lingers around the summit, it's appropriately known as the table cloth. Here is a view from the top and also across the bay in Dolphin's Beach.
Summer In Cape Town
These photographs were taken during a January visit. As you can see the weather was beautiful, a great place to escape a British winter. You do need to be aware that sometimes the coastal winds are incredibly strong.
Finally here's a photograph from a trip away from Cape Town to Paternoster, one of the oldest fishing villages on the West Coast of South Africa.
Thanks for reading this blog about Cape Town, South Africa. Hope you enjoyed looking at the photographs.
